Tubular Dryer
Tubular dryers can be utilized for any type of material from slurries with low solid ratio to low moisture powders. The flow of drying material can be adjusted according to its type like dry powder or a moist material. Tubular dryers consist of three separate areas and a central retention area. These zones control the drying rate and determine the moisture remaining and the size of the product. A gas fired or oil fired hot air generator is used as a heating source for the drying process.
A tubular dryer plant consists of;
- Hot air generator
- Mass flow generator
- Dryer
- Operational gravity discharge
- Cyclone
- Filter
- System fan
The substances like cellulose, calcium carbonate, coconut fibres, ceramic fibre, gluten, bentonite… etc. can be used as typical feed materials of a tubular dryer.
