Top feed vacuum filters outperform at separating liquid and solid materials and dyring crystals. The low density feed enters from the top to feed container while excess solution overflows and returns into the process. The saturated solution is injected and solid particles are transferred by nozzles. Solid particles and saturated solution compose a sticky component. As the drum rotates, the solution is sucked by filter medium and solid particles form a porous cake as they constantly accumulate. This cake is washed to remove all solution before it is sent to the heater where water is removed and remaining substance is heated till it reaches its boiling point. At last the cake is completely removed by passing through some steps in the drying circle.
