Screw Conveyors
A screw conveyor is utilized to measure and feed unformed and unstuck materials transfer from one part to another. A turning helical screw blade which is mounted on a central shaft driven by diverse techniques forms a screw conveyor. This set up turns in a fitted tube and there is a feeder at one end in which substance enters and is sent to the discharge of equipment with the help of positive displacement.
A folding design is needed for maintenance of screw conveyors. Screw conveyors consist of;
- A source material inlet
- A turning helical screw blade
- Ball bearings
- A screw feeder outlet
- A tube
- An electric motor
- A reduction drive
- Two couplings
